On Wednesday Dec 11, 2019 Rudolph Raymon William Czemeres passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital surrounded by family. Rudy was born Dec 3, 1936 to Edward Czemeres and Edith Halbgewachs in the Radant SD south of Dysart the third child of four.
He is predeceased by his father Edward, mother Edith, step-mother Annie, nephews Wesley, Lance, Great Niece Jenell Czemeres, sister-in-law Lois Czemeres, and in-laws Steve and Mary Stan.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife Beverley, 2 sons: Russell (Regina), Derek (Dysart), daughter Lisa (Paul) Loeffler (Minot ND), 2 Grandsons Tyler Loeffler (Allison Bignell), Jonathon Loeffler (Calgary); his brothers Alvin (Regina), Wilbert (Beth)(Cupar), one sister Bernice (Jerry) Schulhauser, sisters-in-law Vivian (Lloyd)Morcom (Fort Qu’Appelle), Donna Davies (Regina), and Aunt Josie Czemeres (Saskatoon) and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Rudy attended school to Grade 9 at Radant, Grade 10 in Lipton and Grade 12 in Dysart. He attended Teachers College in Moose Jaw in 1955, eventually obtaining his B.Ed. in 1970. Rudy proceeded to teach for 35 years. In 1955 Rudy met Beverley Stan by accident. He then married Bev on August 20, 1960. He started a family and continued his teaching career at this time. His first school was a one room school called Kilshanning, south of Cupar. He then went to Cupar for 4 years and finally Lestock for 30 years. While in Lestock he was Principal, Vice-Principal and Grade 5 teacher. He served as Counsellor in the Saskatchewan Teachers Foundation for 30 years and was awarded an Honorary Life membership in the STF when he retired in 1992. Rudy was involved in the Lions club, Lestock and District Sports, Lestock Curling Club, Lestock Red Sox Fastball, Lestock Arena, Lestock Co-op Association, and Lestock Parish Council. Rudy also enjoyed golfing at the Punnichy golf course. Once Bev was able to retire they moved to Fort Qu’Appelle in 2002 where he resided until his passing. Rudy spent his mornings at the Valley Bake Shop enlightening his coffee friends. The rest of the time he enjoyed going to the cottage, fishing, fixing almost everything and visiting with family.
