

Al is survived by his 2 children, Betty Durda and Debbie (Philippe) Olivier; 4 grandchildren, Gerald (Amy) Olivier, Christina (Julio) Campbell, Jennifer (Kade) Gable, and Lisa Durda; and 6 great grandchildren, Monroe Gable , Rafe Gable , Maya Campbell, Henry Olivier, Edison Olivier, and Riah Durda. Al was blessed, and the family thankful, that he had great friends like Craig (Zula, Logan, and Breanna) Holloway who were very dear to him.
Al was born in Edgerton Alberta in 1938. In his 20’s, Al moved his family to Fort McMurray where he began working for Suncor as a heavy equipment operator. Through his hard work he moved up to become a trainer passing his knowledge on to others. He retired from Suncor in 1993 and pursued many hobbies and interests in Fort McMurray, Camrose and Fort Saskatchewan.
Al loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting, fishing, boating and his passion for riding ATVs. Al happily spent many winters in Arizona continuing his passion of ATVs.
As per Al’s request his family has opted to celebrate his life privately and will not host a funeral.
