Dale Leonard Clark Lived, Laughed, Loved (April 25, 1956 ~ December 7, 2012)

Dale Leonard Clark of Sherwood Park, Alberta pitched a good game against cancer before passing away on Friday, December 7th 2012 at the Grey Nun’s Hospital. Brenda Lochtie, his lifelong teammate, was solid on first. Their team mascot, Rascal, watched anxiously from the sidelines. Dale left on base his mother, Barbara; sister, Judi Devries (Phil); and brothers, Tom (Carol), Jack (Pam) and Lorne (Gail). Numerous nieces and nephews are on deck also. Dale loved to play (hockey, football, baseball, volleyball, golf, curling, cards and board games). He followed his life game plan, while playing, coaching and organizing. The postgame celebration will be held on Friday, December 14, at 4:30 to 9:30 at the Ardrossan Recreation Centre, 80 – 1 Avenue, Ardrossan. All are welcome to share memories, stories, food, drink and good cheer. It’s time to rally on last time for Dale! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dale’s name to Alberta Guide Dog Services through CanadaHelps website or Online condolences may be sent through www.dignitymemorial .com.

It truly was always a pleasure running into Dale at a ball diamond...whether playing with him or against him or the combined talents of the duo Dale and Brenda--we were blessed to enjoy some really good times...I know Dale will be hitting them over the walls of heaven.

To Brenda, Barb, Judi, Tom, Jack, Lorne & families...
I can't say I knew Dale well but, him being a member of the "Clark" family, I KNOW he had to be an exceptional person. To all of you - just know we're thinking of you during this sad time. Dad Stan, Joyce & Otto will be just a few to greet him in Heaven. Ivan (Butch), Len (Bub), Sheila (Susie) and Eileen all share our thoughts. Save and enjoy all your "good memories".

Brenda, we are so saddened to hear of Dale's passing. He always had a smile, a friendly wave hello, and jumper cables handy when the car would not start in the morning! We hope he found some joy in Kayla and Jorgia's song. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Dale was "class" in every sense of the word. Kind, funny, thoughtful, supportive and a true competitor with a love for the game - one of the best. My thoughts and prayers go out to Brenda and his family, he is greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
