

Duncan Demerais, of Edmonton, passed away on December 13, 2011 at the age of 76 years. He was born at Prince Albert, SK, on July 3, 1935. He worked on elevator construction throughout Saskatchewan for many years and moved to Edmonton in 1969 where he worked as a finishing carpenter until his retirement. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mary Jane; his 3 sons, Larry of Legal AB, Calvin (Andrea) of Kelowna BC, and Ray of Gibbons AB; his 3 grandsons, Jason, Colton, and Matthew; his great-granddaughter, Arianna; his sisters and brother, Stella Hollands of Saskatoon SK, Allan (Gladys) of Calgary AB, and Rose (Ted) Conrad of Slave Lake AB as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Duncan is predeceased by his parents, Alex and Jane; and 4 of his brothers, Gus of Thunder Bay ON, Tom of New Westminster BC, Andrew of Winnipeg MB and Dave of Meadow Lake SK.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10:00AM at First Memorial Riverview Chapel, 11090 86 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan. Interment will be held at a later date at the Muskoday 1st Nations Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
