Mr. Ernest Ralph Smith, formerly of Fort Saskatchewan, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2017 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his loving family; his 4 children, Ernie M (Charissa) Smith, Joyce (Chad) Smith, Walter (Andrea) Smith, and Larry (Shauna) Smith; his 7 grandchildren, Trista, Kyra, Wyatt, Tori, Corinne, Brayden, and Rylin; and his sister, Geraldine Godbout, as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Ernest is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Mabel Smith, as well as sisters, Bernice Smith, Joyce Smith, Beatrice Whitford, and Mary Putnam.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm (venue to be determined later). Donations in Ernest Smith’s memory gratefully appreciated directly to the University Hospital of Edmonton, directed to the Transplant Unit, 8440 – 112 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6G2B7.
