Mr. George Tichkowsky of Star, Alberta, passed away on December 10, 2014 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving family; 4 children, Janet (Tony) Brzezicki, Betty (Dan) Schriver, Barb (Kevin) Higgins, and Greg Tichkowsky; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Tere (Krista), Krista (Ryan), Jesse, Brett, and Dylan; 1 great grandchild, Ayden; 3 sisters, Emily, Lena and Frances as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. George is predeceased by his wife, Nadia; son, Richard, and brothers, Walter, Adam, Russel, and Nestor.
A Funeral Service officiated by Ted Nowchuk will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Memorial Riverview Chapel, Fort Saskatchewan with viewing beginning at 10:00 am. Donations in George’s memory gratefully accepted directly to Lamont Auxiliary Hospital and Nursing Home, 5216 – 53 Street, Lamont, AB T0B 2R0.
