It is with profound sadness that the family of Kenneth Joff Craven announce his peaceful passing on July 15, 2020 at the age of forty four years. He was in the presence of his family at the time of his passing and he will be lovingly remembered through the memories of him they carry forward.
He will be remembered by the mother of his firstborn child Kim Plesuk, and their daughter Tabatha Plesuk, the mother of his second child Tori McCormack and their daughter Hailie McCormack, the mother of his third and fourth children Tracy Kotyk (Ken’s first and only wife) and their daughter Hunter Tyler Kotyk-Craven, and their son Jake Mackenzie Kotyk-Craven, and by the mother of his final child Jodi, and their son Chase. He will be thought of by his brother Eddie and his father Ken Matheson, and will also be dearly missed by his group of friends from many areas of his life.
He was predeceased by his Mother Shirley Gormley who he dearly loved and will be buried near her in the cemetery where she now rests.
Ken’s life was short but he lived it to the fullest. He was born in Edson, and lived most of his life in Edmonton. He loved his children and had a heart for all animals and cherished his pets. He enjoyed all things related to sports and physical activity, and always made sure he had a good haircut. The memory of his energy and enthusiasm will stay with us all.
An outdoor graveside funeral service will be held on Friday July 31st, 2020 at 1:00 pm. This will take place at First Memorial Funeral Services in Fort Saskatchewan, at 11090 86th Avenue. We ask that you dress casually (and consider wearing denim or Levi’s as Ken loved to wear his Canadian tuxedo all the time)! If you wish to lay flowers on the casket, please bring some to the graveside with you. Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic we must respect social distancing during the service, and masks are encouraged. Please take care of yourself and bring water and sun protection as it will be a very warm day. Also related to the pandemic we are unable to have a reception, please take time after the service to celebrate Ken’s life in a way that honours your memory of him.
