Jan. 20th, 1949 – Jan. 5th, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ken after a hard fought battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his adoring family. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 53 years Fedelia, his four children Jeff (Trina), Jennifer (Curtis), Dana (Ian), Jessica (James), 9 amazing grandchildren Mackenzie, Adam, Ali, Sam, Brittan, Max, Tessa, Autumn and Holly. Ken is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Mabel Sharun and mother and father in-law, Russell and Frances Bilobrowka. Ken was passionate about many things, none more important than his family. His favourite times were spent celebrating birthdays, holidays and any occasion that brought his family together. Ken had many hobbies and past-times. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and loved watching his favourite sports teams. He had a passion for teaching. His teaching career spanned 50 years. He touched the lives of so many students and co-workers. Ken had many adventures with his loving wife that took them around the world. He loved nothing more than spending time with Fedelia. Ken’s friends were such an important part of his life. He always looked so forward to fishing, golfing, playing cards or making Pro-Line tickets with his buddies. He made it a priority to get together with the boys for coffee as often as he could. Ken so treasured those relationships. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to those who have reached out with support, prayers and condolences. A special thank you Ken’s palliative care team of Dr. Gilbert, Dr. Carter and Shelley Harris. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Our hearts are broken by Ken’s passing. His love of family and the thousands of precious memories will help lead us through to peace.
