

On March 26, 2023 Linda once again joined with her parents and her husband Lothar in their loving embrace in heaven. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her children and grandchildren.Tony Dollfusz (Colleen) Sparrow, Mia, Ocean; Cathy Prather ( Mark) Conor, Zachary, McKenna; Jeff Dollfusz ( Monique) Karlee. Linda will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers Jim and Jack Calder and many other relatives and close friends. Linda was predeceased by her father Ronald Calder and mother Hazel Calder ( Searle) and husband Lothar Dollfusz.
Linda Lou Catherine Calder was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 20, 1950. She grew up on her family farm in Bow Island, Alberta. In her younger school days she enjoyed curling, bowling, basketball and the 4-H club. Linda graduated high school in 1968. She attended nursing aid school in Lethbridge and graduated in 1971. Later that year in December she married Lothar. Linda and her family eventually settled in Fort Saskatchewan in 1982. Here is where she raised her three children . She was a fabulous cook and baker and made anyone feel at home. She was a talented seamstress and loved sewing and knitting. Later in life these hobbies turned into a small business called Pooch Put On's. She made many doggie bowties,bandanas and apparel . Linda was also an avid gardener and had a natural green thumb. Her yard was beautiful and full of color with flowers . She also had a great love of camping, fishing and boating with Lothar. They travelled many places together. Linda had the greatest quirky sense of humor and the most genuine beautiful smile and heart. She was a quiet, gentle and kind, caring soul and all who really knew her loved her.
A visitation for Linda Lou will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Memorial Funeral Services - Riverview Chapel, 11090 86 Ave, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L4K6. The funeral service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 AM followed by the graveside service and then a reception.
