Margaret Davies

Peggy was born October 8, 1933 to Winifred and William Robinson in Birkenhead, England and died July 25, 2015 in Fort Saskatchewan, AB in her 82nd year from AML (leukemia). She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Keith Davies; her daughter, Sharon (Alan) Bott; her son Paul (Dawn) Davies; and four grandchildren, Lauren (Darryl), Steven, Emma and Ryan. Barb Reid, mother of Lauren and Steven, also remembers Peggy fondly, as do many extended family members and friends.

The eldest of five children, Peggy is remembered by her brother, George; and sister, Pat; both in England, and was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers, Billy and John.

Peggy was relocated to Wales as a young child during the war. It was perhaps this experience that founded her resilient and practical spirit that saw her immigrate to Canada with Keith and two young children, and continued to serve her, and all those who loved her, throughout her life.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be a private family service at her request. Special thanks to Tricia Davies, the staff of University Hospital, and the nursing staff of the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital, especially Ashtin, and all the nurses who cared for her in those last few days.
