Mary was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan on March 15, 1915 and passed away in Fort Saskatchewan on April 26, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1992. She led a full but simple life, and was never happier than when she was fussing with her flowers. Always up for a game of cards or dice, her active social life gained her many friends in the community of Gibbons, where she lived for the last twenty years of her life. She always had a twinkle in her eye, and her smile lit up the room. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Madeline Cooper and Betty Bellows (Ed), and her step-son Hugh Cooper (Jeanne) and family, as well as her grandchildren Curtis (Lori) and Trina (Shaun), and her great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Thomas, Kaleigh, Max & Katie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 1:00 pm in Gibbons United Church.
