Paula Marie Ferneyhough

January 7, 1962 - February 6, 2015.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paula Ferneyhough on February 6, 2015 at the age of 53. Paula is survived by her Father Michael Ferneyhough and Step Mother Barbara Ferneyhough; her two sisters Shelley O’Neill and Janis (Neil) Hardie, and two Step Brothers Edward (Audrey) Miller and Brent (Michelle) Miller and nieces and nephews (Christina, Jacqueline, Shannon, Bobby, Brenna and Ryley). Along with her loving and devoted friend Shelley Smith. Paula suffered from MS for most of her life, and at the very early age of 38 was admitted to Saint Joseph’s Auxiliary Home, where she spent the remainder of her years. Paula will be remembered for her unwavering spirit and kindness throughout her final years in the home. She was always very neighbourly, saying hello to everyone she would see. Christmas was always memorable, because she couldn’t pass a single soul without stopping to say Merry Christmas. Paula loved her best friend Shelley with all of her heart, they spent a lot of time together shopping, going for walks (Shelley walked, Paula talked) Shelley was her rock. Paula also enjoyed spending time playing cards with her Father, Mike. He would go to the nursing home as often as he could to play cards with her and the other residents of Saint Joe’s. Paula will be greatly missed by her family and her long-time best friend Shelley. She is at peace, and has reunited with her Mother Marlene Ferneyhough in Heaven.
