It is with great sadness that the family of Wilbert Miskolzie announces that he passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the age of 84. After several months of declining health, Wilbert died peacefully with his wife Joanne by his side.
Wilbert was the eldest of four children born to Kathleen and Joseph Miskolzie, and spent his formative years growing up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan. Wilbert graduated as an Electrical Engineer and used his skills across Canada and overseas. After meeting and marrying his wife, they spent time in various provinces across Canada before settling in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta to raise their family.
Wilbert is lovingly remembered by his wife Joanne; children Les, Mark, Chris and Justin; daughters-in-laws Shelley, Penny, Amy, and Meghan; grandchildren Emilia, Dylan, Jason, Izzabella, Grace, and Bennett; and siblings Linda and Brian. Wilbert was predeceased by his parents and by his brother Archie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, preceded by a viewing at 12:00 pm.
People wishing to honour Wilbert’s life are asked to make donations in support of a charity of their choice, in lieu of sending flowers.
