Albert "Bob" Joseph Edwards

Albert “Bob” J. Edwards, 91 of Barling, AR, formerly of Evansville, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was born on February 8, 1923. He transferred with Whirlpool to the Ft Smith plant as a foreman in the Tool and Die Dept. He retired in 1986 and became an avid gardener. He was a member of Woodlands United Methodist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 615 in Barling, and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Funeral Services will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation prior to the service from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Graveside Service with military honors will be at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. He is survived by his wife Virginia, a daughter, Brenda Kuehn and her husband, Steve, of Viera, FL; two sons, Gary Edwards and his wife Connie, of Viera, FL and Ronald “Joe” Edwards of Booneville, IN; a sister, Dorothy Lawrence of California as well as ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
