Allen Murray

Allen Murray, 28, of Roland, OK died Saturday, August 3 in Oklahoma City. He was born December 17, 1984 in Sallisaw, OK. He worked as a metal roofer for Centi Mark Commercial Roofing, Skilled Trades, in Oklahoma City and had previously been employed by OK Foods and Fort Smith Stockyards.

He is survived by his son Laken Reed Murray of Perkins, OK; his mother Reveena Speir of Roland, OK; a brother Austin Zebulon Shook of Sao Paulo, Brazil; two half sisters, Rhonda Murray Johnson and her husband Lynn of Stillwater, OK and Terri Murray Watkins and her husband Ray of Muldrow, OK; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Joy Speir of Fort Madison, IA and LuAnn and Tim Wandzel of Eagen, MN; his uncle Jon Speir of Peachtree City, GA; his aunts, Ramonia Fleetwood of Roland, OK, Rebecca Speir of Eagen, MN and Reada Hickman of Sparks, NV; the mother of his son Alyshea Lara and a very special friend, Rebecca Grooms. He is preceded in death by his father Earl Allen Murray; his grandmother Audrey Speir and his paternal grandparents, Oral and Lillie Murray.

A memorial service will be 10:00am Saturday, August 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Sallisaw. A graveside service will be noon Saturday, August 10 at Roland City Cemetery. Both services will be officiated by Bishop John Hale. Visitation will be Friday, August 9 from 5:00-7:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dylan Kreuscher, Jared, Jacob and Ryan Fleetwood and Sidney Speir. Honorary pallbearers will be his brother, Austin Shook, Beau Kreuscher and Kyle Schaubhut. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
