Andrea Arleta King Alvarado passed away on August 6, 2026. She was born on October 22, 1972 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Kenneth W. King and Diane (Polk) King. She was 53 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth W. King, paternal grandparents Fred and Arleta King and maternal grandparents L.T. and Wilhelmine Polk.
Andrea graduated from Southside High School in 1991 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from University of the Ozarks. She taught at Christ the King Elementary School for 18 years. She loved rocking in her rocking chair, enjoyed travelling, loved celebrating Christmastime, and adored her two children, Luke and Abby.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Alberto Alvarado; two children Luke Williams and Abby Willams, both of Fort Smith. Her mother, Diane King of Fort Smith; her brother Brandon King and wife Emily; and her sister Kristen Eckelhoff and husband Todd, all of Fort Smith; nieces and nephews Tyler Eckelhoff, Jaxson King, Alexandra Matlock, Caroline Eckelhoff, Lucy Eckelhoff, and Henry King. She is also survived by her family by marriage: Cayetano and Severina Alvarado, brothers-in-law Danny Alvarado, Miguel Alvarado, and Jose Alvardo. Her sisters-in-law Adriana Alvarado and Michelle Alvarado.
Rosary will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Thursday, August 13 at 10:30am with funeral mass to follow at 11am.
