April Dawn Myers, 41, of Fort Smith, died February 24, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born April 20, 1972 in Fort Smith to Eddy L. and Cherrine Dechow Morton. She loved singing and attended the Believers Fellowship in Belleville, AR.
She is survived by her husband James Gowin of Fort Smith; her parents, Eddy & Cherrine Morton of Muldrow; her biological mother, Tonia Lee Gill of Poteau, OK; maternal grandmother, Joy Dechow of Poteau, OK; paternal grandmother, Wilma Morton of Fort Smith; one aunt, Pamela Dechow of Broken Arrow, OK; two uncles, Richard Morton of Edmond, OK and Donald Dechow of Prue, OK; mother and father-in-law, Glenn & Carolyn Gowin of Costa Mesa, CA.. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald L. Dechow and John Paul Morton, and uncle, Timothy Ray Dechow.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Evangel Temple of Fort Smith. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
