

Ardith Rhyne Plunkett Mock, 91, of Fort Smith, died January 24, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born June 21, 1923 in Fort Smith to Lewis Edgar and Pearl Ethel Walton Plunkett. She was a Charter and former member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith where she and her husband served as Youth Directors for many years. She loved life and had many interests; she was an artist, enjoyed preparing gourmet food, was a talented ceramicist, and loved crafts and hand work of all kinds. She retired as an employee of Social Services. She is survived by one niece, Dian McDonald of Alexandria, VA; three great nieces, Modena Spears of Lethbridge Alberta, Canada, Melinda Spears of Edmonton Alberta, Canada, and Melanie Law of Red Deer Alberta, Canada; and a circle of close friends including, Dale and Wina Whitson of Fort Smith and Maxine Donaldson of Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Mock and one niece, Hilda Langlois. Funeral service will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Greg Boley, Bill Fant, Mike Whitson, Doug Henry, Jerry Weeks, and John Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Whitson, James Wigley, Presley Davis, and Johnny Risner.
