Arthur Curtis Goldtrap, Jr., 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on February 20, 2019. He was born July 1, 1937 in Fort Smith, AR, to Arthur Curtis Goldtrap, Sr. and Katherine Anderson Goldtrap. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1960 and served on the USS Eaton destroyer during the Bay of Pigs. After returning home, he went to work with his father at Acee Dairy later becoming President of Acee Dairy. After selling Acee Dairy, Arthur ran Acee Realty with his wife, Diane. He was past President of Downtown Rotary Club and Past President of Dairy Products Association. He sat on the Board of Directors for the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce, Fort Smith Symphony and the Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club. Arthur was a past president of Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club and a faithful member of East Side Baptist Church for 21 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Diane; two sons, A. Curtis Goldtrap, III and wife Sandy, Robert C. Goldtrap and wife Cathy; one daughter, Kelleigh Banaszek and husband Hank; one step-son, Keith Hodges and wife Karyn; one step-daughter, Kim Smith and husband Randy; a sister, Katie Ann Myles and husband Ron; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Arthur’s life will be celebrated at East Side Baptist Church on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be at East Side Baptist Church on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
