Bettye Lee Smith

Bettye Lee Smith, 83, of Rogers , Arkansas , formerly of Fort Smith , died, January 3, 2012 in Bentonville , Arkansas . She was born September 23, 1928 in Fort Smith . She was a retired church secretary for Central Presbyterian Church and Dallas Oaks Presbyterian Church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rogers . She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. “Squeaky” Smith.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Harp and her husband, Ronny of Rogers, AR; one son, Larry “Smitty” Smith and his wife, Lisa of Fort Smith, AR; as well as five grandchildren, Natalie Ivers and her husband Michael of Centerton, AR; Kristin Harp of Fayetteville, AR, Trevor Harp of Fayetteville, AR, Jessica Smith of Fort Smith, AR, Ryan Smith of Fort Smith, AR.

Committal Service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith .

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street , Fort Smith , AR.
