Bobbi Shawn Weatherton

Bobbi Shawn Weatherton, 47, of Pocola, gained her heavenly wings on January 19, 2021. She was born on October 11, 1973 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bob Clark and Bonnie Frazier Clark. Shawn was a graduate of Muldrow High School, class of 1991 and Northeastern State University, class of 1996. She was a math teacher at Muldrow Public Schools from August 1997 till May 2015. At the time of her passing, she taught math at Moffett Public Schools.

Shawn was a devoted Christian, church pianist and active member of Arkoma First Baptist Church. She had a smile that lit up the room. Shawn was a loving mother, devoted wife and a friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father in law, Jack Weatherton; sister in law, Jackie Sanders; and niece, Leah Riggs.

Shawn is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Mark Weatherton; three sons, Cade, Baylor and Cannon Weatherton all of Pocola, OK; sister, Vicki Riggs and husband David of Muldrow, OK; mother in law, Beverly Weatherton of Pocola, OK; niece, Whitney Haaksma and husband Kevin of Washington, D.C.; great niece, Rayne Haaksma of Washington, D.C. ; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM, Monday, January 25, 2021 at Arkoma Public School Gymnasium with burial to follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, OK. Viewing will be 1 PM till 5 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home. The family has requested that everyone please wear a mask at the viewing and service.
