

At the young age of eighteen Bobby joined the U.S. Army. He served his country courageously as a combat medic. During his enrollment Bobby aided in the Korean War being honorably discharged after his time of service. Bobby received numerous military medals and badges for his service and bravery; Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and Medical Badge.
Bobby was also a proud member of various clubs and organizations. He was a 32nd degree Mason for the Bruton Lodge, a part of the American Legion, a member of the Eagles Club, and an auxiliary police officer for Sequoyah County.
He graduated from Carl Albert College in Poteau, Oklahoma. Bobby was a pioneer employee for Baldor Electric Company and retired as plant manager in 1981. He was also a co-owner of Wilson Aircraft Inc.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 67 years Ruth Wilson; daughters Rita Thomas of Roland, Robbie Wilson of Roland, and Kim Bolin and husband Jimmy of Greenwood; sisters Judy Wilson and husband Joe of Roland, Mary Ellen Hamilton and husband Bill of Fort Smith; grandkids Nicholas, Corey and Colby Thomas and William and Kevin Bolin, six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gary, Billy Joe, and Ronald; sisters Peggy Hall, June Manchester, and Glenda Rowland; son-in-law Terry Thomas.
