

Burl Wynn Fennell, 84, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born April 12, 1930 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas, to the late Oby and Ethel Horton Fennell. He retired from Western Electric and served a tour in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Fern Yandell.
He was a member of the #71 Masonic Lodge in Tulsa Oklahoma, the Amrita Grotto in Fort Smith and past Monarch two consecutive terms, the Schmitar Shrine, the 32nd degree Scottish Rite and Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Fennell of the home, two brothers Billy Wayne Fennell and wife Nancy and Arden Fennell and wife Kay all of Booneville, AR, two brother-in-laws Eshcol Yandell of Havana, AR and Tim Stanford of St. Louis, MO, one sister-in-law Eulema Stanford of Booneville, AR, numerous nieces, nephews and friends and very close friends Rick Guinn and Steve Dean.
The Fennell family would like to express their special appreciation to Hospice, Vivian Groman and Linda Hadley.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2015, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Wingo officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
Honoring him will be pallbearers Rick Guinn, Steve Dean, T. H. Musgrove, Jess Lewis, Fred Stecher and Tillie Loudermilk.
