Carl W. Smith

Carl W. Smith, 96, of Fort Smith, died July 3, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born December 23, 1917 in Hot Springs, AR to Benjamin Franklin and Ella Grace Geurin Smith. He was retired from the Poultry Industry, a member of the First Baptist Church where he taught the Carl Smith Sunday School Class and was a member of the Hall of Servants. He enjoyed gardening and was a Master Gardener. He is survived by one daughter, Peggy and husband Jim Pryor of Tulsa, OK; one sister, Lucy Austin of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Amy Lee, Holly Bernard and husband John, and Jay Pryor; and one great grandchild, Kellan Bernard. He was preceded in death by his first wife Martha F. Smith and his second wife Irmalee Jordan Smith. Memorial service will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the First Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial of cremains to follow in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
