Carl Eugene Velte Sr.

Carl was retired from the U. S. Navy, and he was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was a Charter Member of the Clarksville Knights of Columbus. Carl loved to fish and enjoyed woodworking and building things. He also enjoyed working on computers, watching Westerns and Looney Tunes, and going to garage sales.

Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Georgie Ann Hilton; and his great- grandson, Nathan Stovall.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Mary; his son, Carl Velte Jr. and wife Debbi; two brothers, Charlie Velte and Gail Velte; granddaughters, Michelle Stovall and husband Lee, and Carrie King and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Friend, Ethan Stovall, Luke Stovall, John-Michael Stovall, Christian King and wife Marley, and Sebastian King.

Visitation will be 5 PM Monday, June 24, 2024, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary to follow at 6 PM.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM Tuesday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, and burial with Full Military Honors at Fort Smith National Cemetery, will be at 11 AM.
