Charlene Smith, 82 of Fort Smith, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021. She was born on December 10, 1938 in Waldron, AR to the late Benjamin and Lillian Sanford Lewis. Charlene was a seamstress for Helene’s of Arkansas for many years. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Otis Wayne Meadows and her second husband, William Clyde Smith; a sister, Lucille Shannon; two brothers, Junior Lewis and Darrel Lewis.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Lamb Cemetery, near Waldron. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by a daughter, Zandra Pierce and her husband Randy; two sons, David Meadows, Sr. and Robin Meadows; five grandchildren, Kristie Lovejoy, Robbie Hamilton, David Meadows, Jr., Ashley Wayne Meadows and Keisha Meadows. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Pallbearers will be Danny Lovejoy, Randy Pierce, Logan Ervin and Robbie Hamilton.
