Charlotte Cole, 88, passed away November 1, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born October 16, 1935 in Paris, AR to Oscar David Hixson and Virginia Sue (Freeman) Hixson. She was a former employee of the Department of Labor, was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, and she enjoyed sewing, antiques, and having estate sales.
She is survived by her husband, Leo J. Cole Jr.; three sons, Johnny Cole of Ft. Smith, Jimmy Cole of Fort Smith, and Jeff Cole of Fayetteville, AR; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial will at Fort Smith National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM at Edwards Chapel.
