Chris Pike

Known affectionately as “Chris” to her family and friends, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She and her husband, Ronald, shared 60 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. Chris worked as a secretary in the computer technology industry before becoming a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith.

Family was at the heart of Chris’s life. She loved spending time with those she held dear and treasured attending her grandson’s competitions and activities, always there to cheer him on. Her love extended beyond her own children. To their friends, she was simply “Mom”—a welcoming, caring presence who made everyone feel like family. Everyone who met her loved her. Chris enjoyed snow skiing and was a talented cake decorator, creating everything from birthday cakes to wedding cakes that made life’s celebrations even more special. She was also an enthusiastic football fan, especially when her beloved USC Trojans were playing.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Pike, of the home; her daughter, Carolyn Pike, of Roland, Oklahoma; her son, Robert Pike, and his wife, Christine, of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and her grandson, Robert Paul Ronald Pike, of Roland, Oklahoma.

Chris leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that her family and friends will carry with them always. She will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to her family, and the way she made so many people feel loved. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the committal shelter of the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Interment will follow in the cemetery columbarium. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
