

Clarence Odell Elkins, 90, of Charleston, died June 30 in Greenwood, AR. He was born January 26, 1923 in Bloomer, AR to Clyde and Josie Elkins. He was a retired PBX installer for AT&T and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Caulksville. Clarence was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Air Corps. He is survived by his wife Wanda; his daughter, Janna Krum of San Diego, CA; his three sons, Gregory Elkins of Cincinnati, OH, Randy Elkins of Lee’s Summit, MO and Jeffrey Elkins of Pine Mountain, GA; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 5, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will by Kyle Elkins, Viktor Elkins, Eli Elkins, Kyle Nikmard, Sandy Krum and Gene Brown. The family will visit with friends Thursday, July 4, 2013, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
