Damon Bercher, 81, of Fort Smith, passed away November 5th, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born March 15th, 1932 in Fort Smith to the late Herbert and Lottie Bercher. He was a retired Brick Mason and was retired from Rheem Air Conditioning Division. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Bercher. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 8th, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tashala Devrow officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his daughter Teresa Bercher of Fort Smith, one grandson Gabriel Bercher and his wife Elizabeth of Van Buren, AR, two great grandchildren Jaiden and Ariah Bercher and his Special Friend/Companion Cathalene Mosby of Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be Don, Donnie, Ronnie & Gabriel Bercher, Mark Maxwell and Forrest Caple.

I have many fond memories of Damon. I remember him most as being a strong and devout patriot, a hard worker, making work fun, and someone who, if he liked you, would be a loyal friend to the end.
