Dan W. Lipe, 76 of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was born October 16, 1944 in Oklahoma City to the late Tom and Bertha Lipe. He was a retired salesman for United Healthcare. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Greenwood, a volunteer at the Fort Smith Visitor’s Center, a member of Master Gardeners and was also involved with the Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Lipe; a sister, Virginia Bryant and a brother, Richard Lipe.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife Della, of the home; two daughters, Angela Legg and her husband Bryan of Oklahoma City and Vicki Wilder and her husband Nathan of Germany; two sons, Tim Lipe and his wife Kira of Lakeland, FL and Daniel Lipe and his wife Rebekah of Galena, IL; three step-sons, Terry Rushing and his wife Sarah of Oshkosh, WI, Brent Yocum and his companion Katrina of Elm Springs, AR and Brian Yocum and his wife April of Fort Smith. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; Abbie and Aidan Lipe, Haylee Legg, Rylee Riddle, Shea, Caydence and Olyvia Legg, Alex and Logan Bingham, Tristan Wilder, Eric Yocum, Sarah Hodge, Devin Yocum, Kylee and Logan Grazier, Kendrick Yocum, Michael Rushing, Karis Kamps, Bradley Rushing and Levi White, plus six 6 great grandchildren.
