Deborah A. Richards

Deborah A. Richards, 61, of Roland, OK died October 27, 2017 in Roland. She was born November 3, 1955 in Fort Smith to Joseph Franklin and Thelma Jean Wilson. She was secretary for the Roland Public School System, a member of the First Baptist Church in Roland, former member of the Fort Smith Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and was the number one Nana to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Richards of Roland; two sons, Dave and wife Sarah Richards of Roland and Daniel and wife Kensey Richards of Roland; one brother, Greg and wife Venita Wilson of Roland; four grandchildren, Michala, Talon, Tye and Reed Richards; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sue Spivey.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Living Water Fellowship Church in Roland with burial to follow in Roland City Cemetery, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Henson, Ronnie Rogers, Mike Stout, Terry Bigler, Ken Clark and Larry Osborne.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Board and Faculty of the Roland Public School System.

Debbie’s family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Mercy Home Hospice Caregivers Angie Burgess and Mitzy Espinoza for taking special loving care of our beloved Nana Debbie.

The family will greet friends in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday evening from 5-7 PM.
