Dennis Peters

Dennis Peters, age 70, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was born July 12, 1953 in High Point, NC to Mafra Helen Peters and Buddy Peters. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nancy Crocker.

Dennis was a loving dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle. He was a very proud grandpa who enjoyed fishing with all of his family. He was a Lance Corporal and Vietnam Veteran in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his daughters Jamie Garcia, Judy Rios, and Tamra Doling; sons Prentiss Peters and his wife Erica, and D.J. Peters and his wife Jacquie; sisters Rebecca Peters and Judy Cummings, 23 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis will be missed but never forgotten, he was always the laughter of every party.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Dennis Peters will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Genesis Church of God in Christ with a burial following at Fort Smith National Cemetery. There will also be a visitation for family and friends Tuesday evening, January 23, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
