Donald R. Brown, Sr., 84, of Fort Smith, died July 14, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born October 15, 1926 to Rolla and Fairy M. Bailey Brown in Van Buren, AR. He was a retired employee of Georgia Pacific, active with Habitat for Humanity, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and he was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife Judy Brown of the Home; two sons, Donald and wife Shelly Brown, Jr. of Bixby, OK., and Kevin and wife Christie Brown of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters, Doris McEntire of Riverside, CA and Edna Norvell of Las Vegas, NV; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son Tommy Brown.
Graveside service will be Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the U.S. National Cemetery of Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The body may be viewed Saturday and Sunday, July 23rd and 24th, from 8 am to 5 pm.
