DOROTHY L BEAN

Dorothy L. “Sally” Bean-Tucker, 71 of Pocola, OK passed away Thursday, January 06, 2011. She was a substitute school teacher for Ft. Smith Public Schools and former owner of several local Businesses. She was preceded in death by two sons Larry “Sonny Boy” Bean, and Mitch Bean; and three brothers William W. Fletcher, David T. Fletcher, and Homer J. Fletcher.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Ft. Smith.

She is survived by her companion of 30 years Wilson E. Tucker, Jr.; daughter Sally Ranetta Bean of Ft. Smith; three step-daughters; Linda Sue Kelley and Pat Powell both of Van Buren, and Yvonne A. Barnes of Rock Island; two sons Richard Walker and his wife Cindy of Ft. Smith, Randall Walker and his wife Robin of Sallisaw, OK, Step-son Wilson E. Tucker, III and his wife Marsha; two sisters Beth Sammons and Carmetta Fletcher both of Idaho; five grandchildren Kris Walker of Ft. Smith, April Cherry of Greenbriar, Nick Walker of Sallisaw, and Mikey and Randy Briggs, both of Ft. Smith and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mikey Briggs, Randy Briggs, Lee Kelley, Gary Harshbarger, Jr. , Kris Walker, and Jeremy McBride.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, January 7, 2011 at the funeral home.

Randy,Sissy and family,We all remember your family,We had some great times growing up ,remember when the tires caught on fire at the Big house at May & Kincaid ? There was always something going on in the neighborhood.Sonny Boy riding his little Indian Bike up & down the sidewalk.Those were the days ! God Bless all of you.
