Dorothy Silmon

Dorothy L. Silmon, 85, passed away April 18, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born September 12, 1929 in Charleston, AR to Wesley Bernard Carson and Blanch (Brown) Carson. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, and she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marvin and Dorothy celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Silmon; her sister, Katie Gordon; and her brother, Harold Carson. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Marvin Silmon; one son, Doug Silmon and his wife Marie of Fort Smith; three granddaughters, Shauna Silmon of Denver, CO, Marcia McDrummond of Claremore, OK, and Tela Silmon of Fort Smith; and two great-granddaughters, Maddison and Makenna Rodery of Claremore, OK.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
