Dutch Wemmerus, 71, of Van Buren, AR, passed away Thursday in Fort Smith, AR. He was born February 8, 1943 in Englewood, NJ. He was a retired Mechanic and a Veteran of the United States Army. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Pavilion at Fort Smith National Cemetery with burial to follow with Military Honors at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Gary and Diane Wemmerus of California, Gary and Patricia Scott of South Dakota, Brian and Cretia Wemmerus of Norfolk, VA, Edward and Sherry Wemmerus of Wister, OK, John and Kristen Wemmerus of Booneville, AR, Lanessa and Robert Altes of Fort Smith, AR, Eric Wemmerus of Bethany, OK and great nieces and nephews Christopher Wemmerus, Joshua Wemmerus, Stephen Wemmerus, Nikita Wemmerus, Samual Wemmerus, Blake Lefevers, Hunter Vinson, Lara Wemmerus, Anna Wemmerus and Gabrial Wemmerus. Pallbearers will be Edward Wemmerus, Christopher Wemmerus, Stephen Wemmerus, Joshua Wemmerus, Samual Wemmerus, Blake Lefever and John Wemmerus. Viewing will be Sunday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
