Edmund John Eveld, 69, of Fort Smith, died, Saturday, September 1, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his family. Born, April 30th, 1949, in Altus, Arkansas, he was the son of the late, Joe W. and Edith Lowe Eveld. In 2004, he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant, with the 188th Fighter Wing, after 37 years of service. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, in Fort Smith, as well as the Knights of Columbus of Charleston. He was preceded in death, by an infant daughter, Tina Gayle.
Survivors include, his wife of 49 years, Thella Brown Eveld; a daughter, Amy and her husband Mark Bailey, of Conway; Two sons, Brian and his wife Brandi of Van Buren, and Clayton Eveld, of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Blaine, Bricen and Jacob, and one great-grandson, Nicolas. He also leaves a sister, Jo Eveld, along with seven brothers; Don, Jerry, Gary and his wife Patsy; Joey and his wife Brenda; Tommy and his wife Bobbie; Stan and his wife Teresa and Kevin and his wife Sonya.
The Rosary service will be held at 11am, Wed Sept 5th, at Christ the King Church in Fort Smith, followed by the Mass, at 11:30am. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
