Emilie Riedel, 74, of Fort Smith died Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born December 13, 1937 in Munich, Germany to Emilie Mayr and Robert Strobl. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Strobl, Jr.; and a grandson, Nicholas Lowther.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Riedel of the home; two daughters, Linda Everly and her husband Jimmy of Fort Smith, and Cartha Canada and her husband, Tommy of Russellville, AR; five sons, Peter Lowther, Tommy Lowther, Larry Lowther and his wife, Lisa all of Fort Smith, AR, Danny Lowther of Van Buren, and Harold Riedel, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn of Waldron; as well as 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held privately. She was cremated under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
