

Emma Lois Johnson, 97 of Fort Smith, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1928 in Talihina, OK to the late Joseph White and Fannie Tedder White. Emma was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved shopping and she loved to collect clocks and angel figurines. Emma was a good mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Emma is preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. Johnson and six sisters, Eschal Robinson, Pearl Edmonds, Euline Ramsey, Pauline Strimmel, Maxine Biggerstaff and Lydia Wageman.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Kite of DeRidder, LA, Gayle Johnson-Smith of Fort Smith and Sandra Bond and her husband Billy, of Poteau, OK. She is also survived by five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N. 12th Street, Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, March 17, 2025 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
