Emma L Reints

Emma L Reints, born September 4, 1934 to Joseph Edward and Lucille Cunningham in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed from this life March11, 2020 in Fort Smith. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joe Ed Cunningham, Jerry Cunningham, and her first husband, Robert Cline. She survived by her husband of 50 years, John Reints; her children: Darrell Cline, Louanne Cline, Becky Todd, Melinda Reints. And 3 stepdaughters: Janie Reints, Jeanie Toombs, and Jerri Shertzer, Along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Emma was educated by Catholic schools here in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She worked for St Edward’s hospital, and then proudly became a licensed real estate sales agent and worked in the area for several years. She loved sports especially bowling and was in several national tournaments. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandparent to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. No services are currently scheduled due to the Coronavirus threat. Services will be announced as soon as the threat has passed. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, 2112 South Greenwood Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.

Emma was always a joy to be around. She always had a kind word. My parents enjoyed her immensely. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her wonderful family and friends. A new star is in the heavens.

I remember Emma as an amazing ray of happiness and joy. Always a kind word and a wonderful sense of humor! It was always so obvious how deeply she loved her family. I pray her friends and family find peace knowing she is at rest. Thinking of all of you.
