Ervalene Joyce Jordan passed away to be with the Lord on June 10, 2018. She was preceded inndeath by her parents, Ervin and Zula McCrite; and a brother, Ervin Edger McCrite, Jr. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith.

In passing, she leaves behind her husband of 48 years, JC Jordan; two daughters, Joyce Riddle and Rhonda Hook, both of Fort Smith; a son, Marcus Shawn Jordan of Fort Smith; two step children, Johnny Ray Calhoun of Fort Smith and Deborah Calhoun of Texas; four grandchildren, Tyler and Kayleigh Hook, Cassandra Elwonger and Armando Ray Calhoun, all of Fort Smith; three great grandchildren, as well as a whole host of friends and relatives.

She was a person who cared about her family, friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mike and Paul Richards, Archie Ryan, Armando Ray Calhoun, John Hook and Jason Stewart.

You will only be gone a short while my dear sweet wife and beloved till we meet again one day. Goodbye Mama, God will carry your sweet spirit home.

I have so many good memories of Ervalene, all the great swimming parties she hosted for us all, she loved my mom and always checked on her. She was a wonderful cook and made me laugh often. She was strong and loving and had a heart of gold! You will be missed sweet lady, love Lou Jean Baker
