Frances Jewell Head

Frances Jewell Head, 82, of Arkoma, OK died November 13, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born July 23, 1934 in Braggs, Oklahoma to James E. and Emma P. Collins Holloway. She was a retired employee of Okla Homer Smith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Arkoma.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda and husband Steve Turner of Fort Smith, Kay Vickers of Arkoma, Brenda and husband Larry Jones of Bokoshe, OK, and Jeanette and husband Bill Hammond of Hackett, AR; one sister, Irma Jean (McNutt) Turner of Anaheim, CA; three sister in laws, Dap Moore, Laura Pryor, and Vicki Head; nine grandchildren, Jamie & Glenn Bergstrom, Micheal and Michelle Turner, Nubb and Jodi Vickers, Stacey and Mark Strozier, Shawn and Jen Turner, Dale and Heather Montgomery, Sisie and Joe Perceful, Nikki and Phillip Fears, Chris and Angel Jones; twenty one great grandchildren, Jessica, Shell, and Cassie Bergstrom, Mikie, Hunter, Colten, Kaden, and Taylor Turner, Zachary, Ashton, and Hanna Vickers, Seth Perceful, Devin, Taylor, Dylan and Felicity Montgomery, Trey, Whitney, and Alexis Fears, Hunter and Fisher Jones; one great great grandchild, Kion Jamerson and many nieces and nephew and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Head; one son, Jimmy Lee Head, Jr; and one sister, Clara Mae Holloway; and two brothers, Raymond and Cecil Holloway.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Arkoma with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Turner, Larry Vickers, Jr., Shawn Turner, Chris Jones, Zachary Vickers, and Devin Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Montgomery, II, Ashton Vickers, and Trey Fears.
