Frances “Fran” Theresa Schneider, 86, of Fort Smith passed from this life February 28, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born July 30, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Albert Konieczny and Catherine Soja Konieczny. Fran graduated from Mercy School of Nursing, in Pittsburgh, as a Registered Nurse. She later retired from Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. Fran was a parishioner at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Fran is survived by two sons, Tony Schneider and his wife Darla of Baling and Joe Schneider and his wife Alina of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Tony and Frankie Schneider and Analeigh Burch; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony F. Schneider, her parents, five sister and two brothers.
Holy Rosary will be 12:30pm Thursday, March 3, 2022, followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm, all at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
