He was born December 6, 1939 in Mangum, OK to the late John Buford Matthews and Kathryn Ann (Walling) Matthews. Frank was retired from the Internal Revenue Service, and he was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He was a rancher, and enjoyed horses, cattle, and being outdoors. He was a past member of the Crawford County Mounted Patrol.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; and his special friend, Patty Elkins.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Huggins and husband Dennis of Muldrow, and Julie O’Bryan and husband Brad of Fort Smith; and two grandsons, Hadyn Huggins of Muldrow, and Connor O’Bryan of Fort Smith.
Visitation will be Sunday February 2, 2025, from 4 – 6 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Monday at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
