OBITUARY

George R. Bozarth

February 14, 1940June 10, 2018

George R. Bozarth, 78 of Fort Smith, AR formerly of Delran, NJ passed away on June 10, 2018. Mr. Bozarth was a lifelong resident of the Riverside area. George was the loving husband of Sharon (Sharrie) M. Whitehead-Bozarth.

George attended Elementary School in Delran, NJ and graduated from Riverside High school. While in high school he was employed at Milavskies Furniture Store. Upon graduation George went to work for Towne Luggage Co. of Riverside where he worked as a luggage finisher from 1958 to 1961. He then left Towne Luggage to work for Beau nit Mills in Beverly, NJ from 1961 to January of 1962.

In January of 1962 he joined the U.S. Army where he rose to the rank of Specialist E-4. Upon his discharge from the Army he went to work for New York Ship building Corp. in Camden, NJ. He then went to work for the Delran Township Schools as a Custodian for 19 years.

George is a life member of the American Legion Post 146, the AMVETS, the DAV, Voiture 500, the 40/8 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Association.

George is survived by his wife Sharon, his son Frank and his wife Tammy, grandchildren; Annie, Katie, Briar and Briselyn of Sebring, FL, his daughter; Sharon and granddaughter Elizabeth of Trainer, PA and grandson Joshua of Beverly, NJ.

He is also survived by his adopted family, Sharrie’s daughters, Rebecca Whitehead and Laurie Smith; grandchildren; Shaine Smith, Sherry France, Curtis and Derick Prescott, Dalton Hunter and Sierra Douillard, great granddaughter, Angel M. Prescott, and great great granddaughter Kaydence Hunter.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Morgan Cemetery in Riverside, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 146, 212 American Legion Drive, Riverside, NJ 08075.
