George E. Richardson

George Eugene Richardson, 66, of Fort Smith, passed away on May 1, 2012 after a short illness. He was born June 14, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Lee Y. and Ollie Mae Parker Richardson. He was a member and deacon of South Side Baptist Church of Fort Smith, a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Belle Point Lodge #20, Amrita Grotto, and he was a retired truck driver. George is now free of pain and suffering, and is at peace, in the arms of the Lord.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Janie of the home; one daughter, Danielle and husband Steve Stanton of Fort Smith; one son, Charles and wife Rose Richardson of Fort Smith; one sister, Nancy Cole of Cleburne, Texas; two brothers, Rowland and James Ray Richardson both of Ennis, Texas; and his beloved granddaughters, Elyse Renee and Kourtny Jane Stanton, who were his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
