

She was preceded in death by her husband Charley Joe Larimore of Howe, OK; her daughter Beth Armstrong of Howe, OK; and her parents Otto and Edith Smith of Panola, OK.
She is survived by her son Harmon Larimore of Tulsa, OK; her sister Dahlia Jedlicka of Fort Worth, Texas; her Brother Luke Smith and wife Linda of Poteau, OK; her son-in-law Steven Armstrong of Howe, OK; four grandchildren - Lucian Armstrong and wife Gabrielle of Monroe, OK, Layne Curtis and husband Cody of Howe, OK, Johnathon Armstrong of Stigler, OK, and Jannet Armstrong of Poteau, OK; Four great grandchildren - Ryver Armstrong; Bentley, Tucker, and Kyleigh Curtis. Two nephews - Kent Jedlicka of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lance Smith and Tamara of Wister, OK. One niece - Lucie Cape and husband Joel of Fayetteville, AR. Numerous loved ones and friends.
She met her husband Joe through mutual friends and they were married for nearly 50 years. Janice was a woman of Baptist faith. She took pride in her work. She was a secretary for the President of EOSC in Wilburton where she attended college, at Modern Carpet in Poteau, and also for Bob Boom’s in Poteau. She played basketball in high school and was an avid basketball fan her entire life. She enjoyed crafting, embroidery and macrame. She also enjoyed listening to the Gaither’s gospel music.
She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 29 at 10:00 am at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.Janice will not have a viewing as per her wishes. Services under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
