

Grady D. Freeman, 87, of Fort Smith, died December 9, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born May 31, 1930 in Fort Smith, AR to Walter and Clara Hopper Freeman. He was retired from Kay Chair in Van Buren as an upholsterer and continued to work with upholstery after retirement. He was a member the First Freewill Baptist Church of Fort Smith, where he also served as a deacon. He served as a coach for both Church League Baseball and Girls Softball.
He is survived by his wife, Towana of the home; one daughter, Twila and husband Roderick Ray of Rudy, AR; one son, Grady Freeman, Jr. of Fort Smith; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Philip Robbins, Gary O’Kelley, Ralph Freeman, Jr., Zachary Ray, Quinton Ray, Kyle Freeman, and Tyler Freeman.
