

H. Donald Fent, 82 of Fort Smith passed away Monday, August 31, 2015. He was born October 22, 1932 in Tulsa, OK to the late Arthur and Mary Ann Fent. He was known as “Chick” in his younger years. He was a Baptist with a kind soul and a true Child of God. He was a former assistant pastor in Mustang, OK, and pastor in Moffett, OK. He loved history, and was an avid reader and collector of books, with an extensive library of religious and historical books. He was a retired Sales Manager from Carpenter Paper, now Alcoa Standard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother; Arthur Fent.
Family Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary. General Viewing will be 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
Herman is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Jean Ramsey Fent of the home; three daughters; Cynthia Eisen and her husband Giora of Delaware, Jayme Tucker and her husband Daniel of Muldrow, OK and Laurie O’Hare of Ft. Smith; his brother Jerry Fent of Oklahoma City, OK; his six grandchildren; Gabriella Fahrer, Sivan Perdue, Talia Eisen, Jessica Michael, Shane Szczerba, and Ezekiel Payne, as well as his eight great grandchildren and one on the way.
